John Radkins moved to the Southwest Coast of Florida in the late 1990’s, but while growing up spent as many vacations as possible with his cousins who lived a block from the Caloosahatchee in Ft. Myers. For almost 50 years he and his dad have fished together, chasing muskies in Canada to snook and redfish in Florida. While they still fish together occasionally, his family fishing buddy in now his daughter, who for 5 years was the Cystic Fibrosis Ambassador to the CF Palm Island Redbone Celebrity Slam. She has been top female angler at the tourney every year but one and always beats dad in the standings.

Prior to their move, John spent 15 years of running the Sales & Marketing Department for an international manufacturer. Since relocating he owned and ran a fine art gallery and sold Real Estate until the market tanked. He was looking for a new adventure when he had the opportunity to join the Coastal Angler family. John is thrilled to join this team and have the opportunity to promote angler conservation, produce an entertaining and informative magazine and help support his family’s special cause, the Redbone Tournaments that are “Fishing to Find the Cure” for Cystic Fibrosis.
